Venice hotel suggestions

Need suggestions for reasonably priced (less than $200 per night) hotel in Venice for a few nights in mid-April. Family of 4, one room preferred but would consider 2. Thank you.

That's actually a tight budget for a quad. I suggest you check out hotels on Venere.com. If they don't show quads, email them directly, many times they add a bed to a triple and offer it as a quad. Once you come up with some possibilities in your budget, ask about them here, and read reviews on tripadvisor.

5 years ago we satyed in a quad a Hotel FLora (a charming 3*). We paid over $300 back then. Venice was the most expensive city in Italy we stayed in.

We stayed in Locanda Fiorita - very small hotel located near Piazza San Stefano. It may fit into your budget. Has rooms with bath and without. www.locandafiorita.com is the website.

Thank you all for your input. This is our first trip to Italy/Venice, and I am coming to realize my "budget" may not be reasonable at all. I have seen several positive comments about the Flora - and will look into all your recommendations.

We booked two quadruple rooms at the Casa Rezzonico in the Dorsoduro section of Venice. It is a small pensione with good reviews.
