all I can say is that I read a lot about Venice, and I've never seen anything that made me think that this card is necessary or valuable.

look for comments at

We spent 3 days in Venice in Nov 03. We're planners, so we ordered the Venice card ahead of time. It frankly wasn't worth it. We spent most of our time exploring on foot. And when we needed to use the Vaporetto (to Murano or San Giorgio) paying the fare would have been very easy. We didn't get our money's worth. Just check to see if the inclusive things are on your must-do list and do the math. Enjoy Venice!
