Venice/Burger King & Pizza Meal

We wondered the streets of Venice, kind of late, and got too hungry to have a sitdown dinner, when we came upon a Burger King/ Pizza fast food place. Yep, we ended up eating at this Pizza Place. Has anyone else done this? What did you think about it? I wouldn't make a habit of it, but the pizza was very good, and he salad was just fine, and the pop was great. Also, the tirimasu was delicious. Not bad for the price of 6 Euro.
Not bad, indeed, Toni. At the Cafe Florian you would have received not even an espresso for 6 Euro.

Toni -

My wife and I stumbled on it while walking thru Venice in May. We thought it was just perfect for us at the time and would do it again in the same siutation! And, of course, the price was right!

Bob

Toni: I laughed out loud when I read your post. We stumbled upon the same Burger King/Pizza place in June, and our 12-year-old and 14-year-old were thrilled because throughout France and the northern part of Italy, the only fast food places we had seen so far were McDonald's (which we don't care for).

Needless to say, we had to stop in (even though it was mid-afternoon), and let the kids order some chicken tenders and a hamburger.

Pam B.
Thank you for your replies. Just mentioned it because there may be some out there who really are on a budget and can know that there are these places that will give you a pretty good meal quickly, if your short on time.

On the Island of Murano, though, we ate a wonderful meal at a small cafe that actually was written up in that French Recommendation book (the guy holding the world on his back). I would have preferred to eat such great meals all the time, but it just didn't happen for us. (We also got lost a lot in Venice late at night trying to find the great restaurants suggested here on the Post and just got more and more hungry, so just opted for the next restaurant.)

I can appreciate traveling on a budget, but...if I ever go to Italy and eat tiramisu at Burger King I will have to consider myself subject to a good slap upside the head.

And Toni, now you and your family can sue Burger King for trying to make you all overweight!
