Venice apartment, 2bdr x 2bthroom with views. Asking too much?
We will be in Venice for 4 nights from Sept 6, we are two couples and love the thought of relaxing in an apartment with a bottle or two of red in the evenings discussing the days adventures. So much nicer than heading off to two hotel rooms.
Absolute musts are 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Views of water etc a huge bonus. Budget open to all offers
Thanks

Hi aussiedreamer - I often have fun (and make wishes) looking at Views on Venice - and just noticed this:

I have not checked for available dates.
Good luck and have a wonderful time with your friends.

Woh, looks lovely but not available. But thanks so much for the website. Yes love_travel_aus we are looking forward to it. Its only 4 nights of a 3.5 months trip. But every part of it is fun to plan. The friends will be joining us for 3 weeks and they've never been overseas. So Venice is a great place to start!!

Hi Aussiedreamer, We are getting ready to make our 12th trip to Venice where we always stay in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. While the Palazzetto da Schio in Dorsoduro is our very favorite place to stay, we have found some lovely apartments through viewsonvenice. Also, if you go to SlowTravel, you will find excellent reviews of all types of apartments along with the listing agencies. Good luck!

An alternative that might work for you - rent both the first and second floor apartments listed here for four nights:
http://realvenicevacationflats.com/
Owner is in San Francisco.
We stayed there for eight weeks 18 months ago, in the second floor apartment. Nice views over gardens and the campanile of the Carmini. I wrote a little - it's here:

Here's a great place that I've stayed in before. Ground floor, 2 bedroom, 2 baths....washing machine....ground floor....in a palazzo on the Grand Canal.
Two glorious windows open up to a magnificent view. 200 euro a night.
Located in San Polo near the San Toma vaporetto stop.

Thanks for all your help. http://www.oikosvenice.com/i/orbi.html is showing vacancy at a reasonable price, considering there is a film festival in Venice while we are there, we're thinking we might grab it.
Always hard to make that final decision!
