Venice Airport to train station
Can anyone tell me what are the options to get from the Venice airport to the train station on Venice? I know about the public water taxi, I was wondering about the bus?? Anyone have any experience taking the bus from the airport to Venice? Thanks.

I am arriving by air and I thought it would be easiest to get from airport to Venice by bus because I have to meet someone at the train station. I did find the bus website and it looks like it is only a 20 minute ride. I just wonder how easy it is to walk to train station from where bus drops off. Thanks.

Hi lbrown7, there is another thread here today about getting from Venice to the airport early in the morning along with a question about the length of time the land bus takes.
Evidently the bus trip takes about 35 minutes max. There is, from the P.Roma where the land bus will drop you off a bridge that you can walk across and you will be there at the train station.
Have a great trip!!

Are you confused yet lbrown7? There are 2 train stations in Venice, Mestre (on the mainland and closer to Marco Polo airport) and Santa Lucia, in Venice proper. There are land buses from Marco Polo to both Mestre and P Roma which is right near Santa Lucia. The land bus (or a land taxi-another option) both make more sense to get to either train station than the alilaguna (water bus).

It looks like I will be taking the land bus from Marco Polo to Santa Lucia. I forgot about the multiple train stations and airports but most replied with what I needed to know. My big concern was being able to walk from the bus drop off to the train station but it sounds like that is possible. thanks for all the replies.
