Venice Accomodation recomendations ?

I am looking for recommendations for accommodations in Venice in Jun. We are 4 people family. I don't mine Hotel, or apt or B&B. I have searched around and found the ones in the center quite expensive (euro 200+). I have read that one can get great deals a little out of the center (but still a walking distance). Any recommendations from anyone.....

Try www.venicerentals.com. I've been very happy with them for apartment rentals.

We rented an apt from viewsonvenice.com and we're very happy. We got a really good deal (EUR 165/night for 2-bedroom, 2-bath place right near Pza San Marco), but that was in Nov and prices will be more in June. They had many 1-bedroom that should be under EUR 200 and, IIRC, even some 2-bedrooms further from the center.

Thx, I found something in venice. I have a question, which of these would be better accomodations, for Jun last week:
- Giardini Guesthouse Located located near Modern Art "Biennale" site and the "Arsenale" (with no A/C) OR Apartmento Lidia near Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo (with A/C) ?

SeanZ try www.alloggibarbaria.it for a B&B in Castello. We have booked there for Sept at 160 Euro per night including breakfast for our family of 4. Good reviews on www.tripadvisor.com too.

We had good luck with these folks last year in September. There are several different properties.

Hi S,

Also look for accommodations in Mestre.

You will have to take the train back and forth (about 1E - 10 min).

See www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
