vatican/sistine chapel...do we need to wear anything on our heads
I've heard from many that we have to have our shoulders covered and show no knees...all of a sudden....2 of my "older" aunts told me we (my 3 daughters and I) need to cover our heads in some of the churches...I've found nothing re: this on the computer sites....anyone have any info regarding this topic? It's crazy...almost embarassed to ask but thought I better be prepared.
Thanks for all of your help.

Also no low-cut tops for both men and woman and no belly shirts. Photo of dress code sign; http://tinyurl.com/45grz59

no knees, bosoms [in either sex] or upper arms.
capris and a shawl/light blouse are fine, in theory.
sadly for him, my DH's knee length shorts weren't. [the sort that a 1940s scout master would have been proud of]. I still remember the look on his face as he was handed a sarong to put round his waist, to cover his offensive knees.
trousers are safer.

How funny....love all the advice/info...I will make sure we don't have any low-cut tops, mini skirts...my husband better leave his belly shirts at home. hahhhahahaahahah. Remember those sweatshirts in the 80's cut below the chest. We won't pack those. hahahahha
Thanks all! And yes....my aunts are in their 70's/ too funny.
You all made me smile!
