vaporreto

HI.
We will be staying near the zattere stop and when we leave we will be going to the train station which I think is ferrovia stop...my question how do you know you are getting on the right vaporreto in the right direction at zattere?

Facing the stop, it will be coming from the left (I think it's the no. 1); plus you can always ask. Enjoy!!

Hi blemke,

Rather than insulting you by remarking that you should just notice which way the vaporetto is going when you arrive at the stop from the staion, and then getting on the one going the other way, I offer you the vaporetto routes and schedules at

There are signs at each stop showing which boats stop and the stops in order in both directions, just get on the one headed for the stop you need.

You will also see the course/direction of the vaporetto on it. The direction is easy to discern as you will see the stops marked on it. Use your map of venice which will have vaporetto stops highlighted and go from there. Once you've been in Venice and had some experience with the vaporetti it will be much easily to figure out and the mystery of how to go from point A to point B will be easily solved.
