Uzes on a Sunday?

The thing is that the shopping in Uzes is wonderful pottery and I think they will be closed.

Thank you, Peter, for the market notes and your local-expert touring suggestions, though I'm afraid much of the Languedoc exceeds my scope this trip.

Thank you for your thoughts also, Gretchen. I'm actually not terribly interested in pottery or shopping, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Duchy and medieval gardens; doing an historical walk; and possibly having lunch in the place aux Herbes. I'll look into cigalechanta's suggestions in that regard.

I may also take Stu's suggestion from other posts to visit Castillon-du-Gard. It could be an enjoyable way to kill time before catching the late afternoon/early evening light of the Pont du Gard (seeing the museum first before it closes, of course). I can't for the life of me find much of anything about Castillon in guide books or online, but I will take his experienced word that it is a cute place to wander for a bit.
