...and Germany lies ahead for the American gals...perhaps they can make up for the robbery perpetrated on the USA men's team by the referee from Scotland in 2002!

Well, there is another game before the finals. As Yogi once said, It ain't over til its over. And this one ain't over for any of the remaining teams.

All of the remaining teams are highly skilled and they play ferocious soccer. Some of the collisions in that game today drew blood.

Too bad Michelle Akers has past her playing prime. She would have been the perfect catalyst on this team to hold the fort in the middle and push the pace beyond human limits.
In my fantasy league I have Akers, Hamm, and Wambaugh on the same team. There are some others also worthy of note like
Brianna Scurry, Cindy Parlow, Julie Foudy, Tiffinay Millbrett, and Christine Lilly.

But these are from the past, mostly. This current team has some skilled players who play with grit and determination.

The woolwich scored five and even Adebayor got a hat trick. My mum could mark Adebayor. Hmmm maybe that's the answer.....
