So sorry to hear that Smiley, but thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the process.

That really stinks. I can relate to being sad if you don't get the old one back. I like having my old passports too. The only thing I don't like is when I compare a picture of me today with the one taken 10 years ago. That's depressing....

An update: As mentioned in some earlier posts, this past Thursday I requested expedited service on my passport which was already in the system. It arrived this morning (Tuesday) at 8:00AM via Express Mail--two days earlier than I would have expected based on the timetable provided. I'm very relieved.

Still hoping for a happy resolution for you, smiley.

Hi update since P_M asked on another thread about my passport (thanks for asking) I called last week and they had received it (it took two weeks for them to get it-sent Priority mail from VA to SC)? They were even shocked. I paid for them to expedite (and send FedEx!) it. So hopefully I'll get it soon, when I called back today they were trying to get it processed today. Also found out the Passport office had my new name wrong (they put my maiden name in twice) so it was 'Sally Leigh Smith Smith Jones'. I asked them to take out the second Smith so it matches my tickets/drivers license, so hopefully they will do that. Who knew it would be so hard to change your name on your passport!!

How amazing that it took 2 weeks when you sent it by Priority Mail!! It must have been a low priority for someone. I'm glad things are on track now, and the name error was caught in time.

I am happy to say that my new and old passports made it back to me about a week ago. From the date I mailed my stuff to the date I got my new one (and my old one back) was exactly 3 weeks and one day. Smiley, I hope you don't hate me for this, but I used regular mail, both ways. Anyway I am very happy for you, and I bet you're smiling.
