Unforgetable restaurant in Rome?

Hi,

I am going to Rome in november w/ my husband to spend my birthday. I am really excited since this is my first trip to Rome and I am looking for that special place to celebrate my bday. I would really appreciate if you could share w/ me your "dining" experiences. Also, if you want to add other places that you had lunch or just stoped for a quick bite, I'd love to hear as well!!! Thanks in advance, Juliana.

There's a current thread running regarding "restaurants near the Pantheon".

I recently met my twin sister in Paris for our birthday. We were doing all this research for the big dinner. Then we decided it was becoming too "planned". We just went with the flow that day and found a lovely sidewalk restaurant for dinner. A wonderful time was had by all.

We just returned from our trip to Rome. Among our meals, had a wonderful dinner at Tullio(Tuscan influenced fare),
a very good meal at Nino's near the Spanish Steps, good pizza and a fun time at Da Baffetto near Piazza Navona, and a terrific lunch at La Piazzetta near the Roman Forum - great antipasto buffet and pastas. Best wishes on your birthday. Have a wonderful trip.

My wife and I had a fabulous dinner at Ditirambo near the Campo De'fiore. It was recommedned to us by the staff at the Daphne Inn-a fabulous bed and breakfast we stayed at while in Rome.
