Uffizi Gallery, Florence
Quick question: where would be a good place to meet a friend near the Uffizi Gallery? (not sure if there is more than one entrance / will be tonnes of people milling around outside)
Thanks again

LOL to the naked man!
I would meet in a cafe in case one of you has to wait. Much better than standing under David's genitalia that probably lots of folks are trying to photograph. There are several cafes by the Uffizi entrance; you could meet at the one closest to the right of the entrance (as you face the entrance). Can't remember the names of any of them.
BTW - you do know that the Uffizi is not in the UK?

Well, there's the ticket booth you go to if you have a reservation and the one you go to if you don't. They're on opposite sides. However, as far as I could tell, there is only one entrance to the gallery itself which is also where you buy your ticket if you don't have a reservation.
Heh...I can imagine the cell phone conversation, "I'm standing next to a big statue in the piazza eating gelato. Can you see me?"
