Tuscany weather in late October

I am planning a honeymoon for the period of Oct. 21 to 28 and considering Tuscany. I am a little concerned that this is the tail end of their season and the weather may not be too nice -- i.e., a little too cold and rainy. Thoughts?

If too cold and rainy we plan a week in Paris where even though it would be colder, I would be less concerned about the weather.

It can be perfect or not but it is impossible to predict, especially in January.

go to www.weather.com and look at the averages.

We have spent the latter part of October in Tuscany 3 times over the past 6 years and have had beautiful weather! Our anniversary is October 18 (48 years!)and the weather always cooperates for us. Temperatures have been in the 50's and 70's. We were in Chianti in a villa this past October, loved it!

We had mixed weather with rain and a little sun when we visited last October around the time you'll be going.

In Ravenna, through Tuscany to Umbria and Rome for eight days ending mid-October last year we had one wet evening - otherwise perfect sunny weather.

As others have said on other threads: better Tuscany in October than not Tuscany in October!

We were in Tuscany this October, and the weather was absolutely exquisite. I know that doesn't guarantee you a thing for 2007, but at least you can reasonably hope for lovely weather.
