Tuscany to Sorrento by Train

How would I get from Montefollonico in Tuscany to Sorrento by train? How long will this take? Which line do I take? Will I have to change somewhere? How much can I expect a taxi to cost from the train near Sorrento to my hotel in the heart of Sorrento? Thanks in advance.

Are you staying at a hotel in Montefollonico? I personally am not familiar with that city, but if you are staying there, the hotel can certainly help as well. You may have to take a bus to the closest city with a train station.

Also, if you email the hotel in Sorrento they can tell you what to expect in taxi cost from the Sorrento station to the hotel.

Are you certain that Montefollonico is on a train line?
You might have to take a taxi to the station outside Montepulciano to get a train south.

That's what I mentioned too EK. I looked on trenitalia and there was no station there from what I could see.
