Tuscany cooking school

Interested in taking a 2 day cooking class in Tuscany w/ sister. Any info on cooking schools and places to stay in Tuscany would be appreciated. I have researched but there are so many to coose from. Do not want to stay in Florence.

Gina Stipo is great. I've now taken a couple of courses with her, and you should contact her to see what she can offer. I highly recommend, and I've written about taking a course with her just last month - it's on my trip report.

She is based out of Siena, and I can say it is a wonderful place to stay and day trip from as well.

We, along with 2 other couples, are going to Casa Ombuto is June for a week of cooking school. It's south of Florence. They have an excellent website.

We spent a fantastic week at www.ilfalconiere.it.. there are several options for cooking classes in this beautiful family owned hotel situated in vineyards below the hilltop city of Cortona.

Check out Villa Delia
http://www.hotelvilladelia.com/

It was featured in a travel show on Culinary Getaways.

Just to add, if you're in Canada (and probably if you're in North America) you can watch the program that featured Villa Delia (as well as the Ritz Paris cooking school, Belle Isle in Northern Ireland, a few in the US, Thailand, etc).
Villa Delia is in part 6 of the Culinary Getaways show in the UberGuide series.

Have a look at www.amoresapore.com. It's in Umbria but close to Tuscany and Elizabeth, the American who runs it, puts together wonderful programs.
