I don't know anything about their business class. However, I was very pleased with Turkish Air when I flew round trip JFK-Istanbul, plus two flights within Turkey. All this was coach or economy or whatever you call the lowest class. They were quite security conscious, with the strictest inspection policy I've experienced, yet were efficient and pleasant about it and didn't act overly authoritarian. The food was better than most airline food, and even the little giveways and comfort items were better than what I usually get. Nothing went wrong on the flight. The seating was not comfortable, but then I don't think it ever is in coach on other airlines.

One of the best airlines I've flown on. It was 10 yrs ago and I still remember how nice the staff was and the food was definitely better than other airlines. Also, a nice little goodie bag - eyeshades, socks, etc.

I concurr - the food was better than average and the travel goodies for even us plebians/proletariats in economy/steerage was quiet generous. It's a long flight from NY to Istanbul - best to be as comfotable as possible.
