I would contact the Turkish Embassy for that info:

Has anyone from the US entered the country recently. I was wondering what a visa would cost purchased at the Istanbul airport.

I was in Turkey in June 2005. The Turkish visa cost $20 at the Istanbul airport.

The cost of a U.S. visa is $20, as of September of this year.

Getting it at the airport is very straightforward -- you hand over your passport and the money, and they give you the visa -- just a little sticker in in your passport. I think you can get the visa from the immigration desk, but I got mine from a special desk, labelled Visa in large letters.

You must pick up your visa before clearing immigration. When I went in June, the visa counters were left of the immigration lines.

Just got back this week and the Visa is $20 and is purchased at a desk to the left of Passport Control. Do not get in the passport control line until you purchase your visa. Fortunately, we had read this on this board, but we saw many people who got in line at Passport Control, only to have to leave the line, go get their visa stamp, then get back in the line at Passport Control.

Fortunately for you, Barb, you read my advice on what line to stand in for your visa. You punters on Fodors would be lost with out my direction.
