Get the Paris Museum pass. Depending on how long you will be there, you can get it for 2, 4 and (I think) 7 days. It is well worth the cost as you can use it for most museums and sites (e.g. Ste. Chappelle). Pick it up at the first museum you go to - we usually start at a small museum to avoid the lines - then you cna bypass lines at the other museums.

It's 2, 4, or 6 days. Don't buy it online in advance - you'll pay a premium and have yet another thing to bring across the ocean with you - get it at the first museum you go to, at FNAC, or a major métro stop. In order to get the most out of it, plan your museum-going days carefully. I don't understand the rest of your question - compare what? For info on what's going on in Paris (or anywhere else), check out www.whatsonwhen.com or when you arrive in Paris go to any news kiosk and pick up Pariscope - it comes out on Wednesday and is good for a week.

I assume he means compare prices on various websites. It doesn't work that way, official Paris "attractions" don't have varying prices much, if you mean city/national museums or monuments. You can buy some major museum tickets online, go to their own websites (ie, Louvre). I have never heard of any website that is a private company (not the site itself) that gives you any discount as they aren't going to mark a ticket lower than the face value, they just aren't. All they do is add on fees for their services.

The one exception may be the Eiffel Tower as it is private, but I'd go to their website, anyway.
