trip to Europe
I ahve to attend to business meeting in Milan on 19th July . I decided to take my family to 2 weeks holiday in north Italy and switzerland and may be Paris. My family and and I are 7. My questions where to best stay for clean and best location for 4 nights stay in Milan.I there a tourist company who could arrange for me a minivan for our trips in Italy and switzerland for about9 days with english speaking guild. How much would this miniVan cost.Where best to go for nature seekers.would travel by train from Geniva to Paris a possibility ?

Sounds like a lot of fun. Lots of planning ahead for you. You also need to go on the internet and do some searches for tour companies. Depending on who you choose, and exactly what the tour includes will determine your cost. No one here can tell you that.
You also need to give us your hotel budget per night and how many rooms you will be needing, for Milan and Paris.
You should think about the cities you all are interested in, get a map and start trying to determine a possible route. Then come back here with more specific questions.

Another thought (which you may already know): with 7 people, you will need at least 2, and possibly 3 hotel rooms in most cases. You might look into self-catering places (apartments or guest houses) as a lower cost alternative, which often require a minimum stay of 1 week (less for some-depends on the apartment). For our family of 5, it has been self catering or 2 hotel rooms for most of our European travels.

With 7 people, a driver and luggage I don;t think there's any mini-van that will hold you. You'll have to have a people mover or a small bus. Renting this and havinng a guide with you the whole time will be extremely expensive (since you have to cover the guide's room and meals as well as your own) along with rental, gas etc.
Also - for 7 people you will need several hotel rooms - depending on ages and family configurations.
Have you any sort of budget for this trip yet? I would start with what you're willing to spend - and I assume a trip like this would be at least $25,000 including airfare if coming from the US.

Thnks for the reply. My hotel budget is 75 to 100 Euro per room. I realize that we will need up two three rooms.
Our current plan call for 4 nights in Milan .Do then 4 nights guilded drive tour of both north Italy and south part of the swiss country.Pick up a train to Paris and spend the remaing time in Paris. My budget not to exceed 12000 USD excluding the air fare.
Is there any body who could recommend hotels in Milan or Pris.It is our first time to Europe any Idea on route or itenaries for the drive tour. We alllove nature.Would anybody recommend travel agent/minibus rental company to contact.
