Trip report: Rome, Pesaro, Venice
Hello All.
I'm new to this forum and one of the things I like is the shared trip reports - it is great to read about your experiences and adventures.
This summer we went to Rome, Pesaro and Venice. Rome and Venice were 'old friends', but Pesaro on the east coast was new to us and a very pleasant experience. My trip report is too long for posting here, but you can read it at http://www.sitestory.dk/rejser/italien2007/indexe.htm
Regards,
Eric

hi, eric,
I'm really enjoying your report - I've just got to the end of the Rome bit. We stayed in the monti area last year, in the via dei serpenti, and had aperitifs every night in the little square you mention, with the fountain [at least I assume it's the same one].
Unlike you, the only bad meal we had was at gli angelietti - it was truly horrible. Perhaps we chose wrong?
looking forward to having te htime to read the rest,
regards, ann

Thank you for posting, I enjoyed your website. I read your Venice 2004 report also. We were in Venice last year and like you, didn't have the most memorable meals of our trip, but we are returning this month for a week-long stay and hope to have better success. I have read many recommendations and trip reports on this site and have faith meals will be much better this time around. I really appreciate the details you included about your daily walks and places you visited, they will be helpful. Grazie mille.

hi, eric,
I just finished your report - you should write a guide on where not to eat in Venice.
I think we must have been lucky when we were there last November. we had a few good meals and no bad ones. we were staying up near the station and didn't eat near St. Mark's at all, so perhaps it was a bit less touristy. or just luck!
your sense of humour certainly came in handy.

Glad you liked it.
annhig, ee have dined twice at Gli Angeletti (2005 and 2007). The food was quite good both times, but the service extreeemely slow.
Write a guide about where not to eat? Well, unwillingly I have already started, but I dread the research ;-)
