Trilussa Palace Hotel

Anyone have a direct phone number or email address for the Trilussa Palace Hotel in Trastevere? Any personal experiences appreciated.

I took a peek at their website,as I just stayed a month in Trastevere near Piazza Trilussa and never noticed a hotel there. This hotel is not near that piazza and quite off the beaten path. It looks like an attractive place from the photos on the website, but somehow I think I would find the location to be a bit inconvenient.

I agree with Massagediva; the hotel is quite far away from the area that one generally thinks about when one says "Trastevere," i.e., around Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.

And it's inconvenient to the historic centre of Rome. You certainly could not walk there and would have to take buses and/or trams.

Tuna-it depends on where you want to stay in Rome-do you want to be right in the tourist center of Piazza Navona/Pantheon/Campo dei Fiori, or do you want to be somewhat removed from that, in a more Roman neighborhood? If you want the former, then you should look for hotels in that area, but if you want to be in the lively restaurant/nightlife area of Trastevere, then you should look there. Personally, I love Trastevere/Gianicolo area (which is above Trastevere) and don't like to be so in the tourist mix-the Trilussa Palace has a tram running in front of the hotel that will take you where you want to go, and it's well within walking distance of the center of Trastevere-it also has a lovely rooftop terrace and newish rooms-all of which commend it. You can take a look at the reviews of Trilussa Palace on tripadvisor.com to get a better idea of whether you'd like to stay there or not.

I don't believe that this hotel is in Giancolo or above Trastevere, but closer to Porta Portese, not too convenient for most of what folks want to see in Rome. Not to say no one would want to stay here, but I don't think most visitors would find it to be handy.
