lyn:<BR>The Eurostar trains (which require seat reservations) can get full, especially on weekends. And it can be a real drag standing all the way from Venice-Rome on an InterCity train. As you'll be there during high season, it really would be best to purchase tickets a few days ahead (if at all possible). I'm assuming that you'll be staying a few days in Venice, then moving to to Rome? Once you land/arrive in Venice, either go to train station or a travel agency to purchase your tix to Rome.<BR>

<BR>I have 6 - $100.00 gift certificates from Rail Europe (value $600.00).<BR><BR>While in Italy we will be traveling, by train, 7 different times during our 19 day trip.<BR><BR>I went to the Rail Europe site and decided that the "Italy Flexi Rail Card Saver" is my best buy . <BR><BR>There will be 2 of us traveling and we will do our traveling all within Italy and within the same month.<BR><BR>The cost for first class is $284.00<BR>per person.<BR><BR>Am I making the BEST choice?<BR><BR>thanks
