Tremezzo on Lake Como

I am looking at Tremezzo as a home base for 4 nights. As well as exploring the towns of Lake Como by boat, my husband & I would like to do a day trip to Lake Lugano. We will have a car. Any comments about staying in Tremezzo? Restaurants for dinner? Shops?

Many thanks!

Tremezzo is just fine--I assume you are looking at the GH Tremezzo. But a better location may be Menaggio just a few miles north on the lake. The GH Menaggio is better value and is right at the ferry dock and also very near the road to Lugano.

Hi! Bob: Actually, I am trying to see if I can reduce our trip costs and looking at Tremezzo as an alternative to Bellagio where we originally planned to stay. Hotel La Darsena ticks many of our boxes @180€/night www.hotelladarsena.it. I was wondering more about the town itself & its offerings.

I still think that Menaggio is a more convenient location. Look at the Du Lac in Menaggio--about 130E
