Travelling trains in Spain with suitcases

Taking suitcases on board trains Italy was no problem but very difficult on trains in Germany. Does anyone have hints on what to do with suitcases (3 of us with one suitcase each) on trains in Spain? We will be going from Madrid to Cordoba (AVE) then Cordoba to Granada, then Granada to Seville. Thank you

Why was taking suitcases on trains a problem in Germany?

Steps up onto the train - many placeshave that. Nor room for large suitcases at your seat - most trains have that too.

If you have a lot of luggage it's better to go First class, since the seats are larger/fewer so there's more room for luggage (but you still can;t put in in someone else's seat or space).

In Italy,at the front of each car, there was storage for suitcases, not so in Germany. We had to turn our suitcases sideways and try to find a car that had room at the door for our suitcases. Everytime people got up to move to the door in anticipation of the next stop, our suitcases were in the way and obscured by everyone. I am wondering if the trains in Spain had luggage carriers.

AVE, Altaria and Talgo trens have luggage racks at the end of the passenger carriages (i.e., adjacent to the vestibule).

I believe TRD's also have them.

The only trens you might have trouble is on 'commuter' type trains (all 2nd Class), like Sevilla-Cadiz or Huelva.

Yes, trains in Spain have room for luggage. 3 of you with one suitcase each - huge suitcases? carry-on size?

DH and I just went from Cordoba to Madrid in the AVE. Both carry-ons fit on the rack above the seats, and the larger duffle type w/weels fit in a compartment behind the last seat and the "entrance hallway" partition, not in anyone's way.
