travelling from Sorrento to Rome

Does anyone have any advice for getting to Rome from Sorrento? I'm looking for the fastest way not necessarily the least expensive. Also does anyone have reviews of the Hotel Belair in Sorrento? Tyring to stay someplace close to the hydrofoils to Capri. thanks

It's not much faster than by train, but there are buses that go from Sorrento to Roma Tiburtina bus station. Google Marozzi bus and Curreri bus.

Thank you Zerlina. I'm looking into the busses. Also do you happen to know of a website for hiring a private transfer (car)? Thanks again

I'm planning on taking a bus from Sorrento to Rome in October, yuk.... that very early 6:30am bus.

I thought I read somewhere that even with your luggage stowed under the bus that you need to keep your eye on it during any stops along the route as thieves have been known to steal it. Is this true, please?

Many thanks!

Hi rg,

For private limo transfers, we were pleased with Limousine Service Sorrento (Renato Cuomo)
www.cuomonet.it Also consider Francesco. http://www.francescomarrapese.com/
