traveling to Ireland with what's going on in the world
Our trip is paid for an are going on a Sceptre Pub tour from 2-17 to 2-21 and are concerned about traveling overseas with what is going on in the world. Any input. Thanks

I would not even think about cancelling. We feel no threat of terrorisem and are a neutral country. Ireland usually are in the U.N. Peacekeeping troops and no one seems to have a problem with us! I feel you are more at risk in the U.s. than we are in Ireland. Go and have a fun trip!

Our son just returned from Rwanda and on the way there was subjected to a bomb scare that diverted the plane to Malta. It was on the streets of Dublin that we received news of 9/11 in the U.S. We had no problem arriving in Newark some days later, but all were anxious.<BR><BR>Yes, traveling has concerns, but I might just fall down my back steps! Ireland is indeed safe. But did I read in Irish Times about increased patrols in Limerick due to gang violence? We stayed for a time at Univ. of Limerick and would say that is actually a safe city as well.<BR>Bill Longman in Springfield, MO
