travel in slovenia

Four of us will be staying in a house in the Livek area for 3 nights this June. From there we will be driving to Ljubljana and staying there for 2 nights. We want to do some hiking in the Livek area and also want to go to Lake Bled. Is it feasible to drive to Lake Bled and then drive onto Ljubljana through Skjofa Loka in one day ( wanting to arrive by 4 at the latest)and still have time to see Lake Bled? We could take one of our days to drive back and forth to Lake Bled but it looks like a daunting drive so that's why I'm thinking of seeing Lake Bled on our way to Ljubljana.
Any advice re what to see in the Livek area also appreciated...looks like there are some wonderful walks in the area. Thanks.

What counts as "seeing" Lake Bled? Just a glance? Taking a pletna ride? Visiting the castle? Walking around the lake?

Good question!! Haven't really looked into visiting lake Bled yet so just wanted an idea of the feasibility of seeing something of the area before going on to Ljubljana..will do more homework!!
