Travel Guide in Budapest

Does anyone have the email address of Bellah Lucas, who is a personal travel guide in Budapest? We traveled from Prague to Budpest about 3 years ago and I got his name from this forum and we used him as our personal guide and he was FANTASTIC!! I have misplaced his email address and we are lucky enough to travel to Budapest again and would like to contact him.

McGrath: Here's the info from Fodors on Bela, Hope you have a great time!

We had Bela Lukacs in Budapest. Thanks to MZREDHEAD on Fodor's, I contacted Bela, and he was great. Not only did he pick us up at the airport at midnight (our British Airways flight left Heathrow at 9:30 p.m.)for a fraction of the taxi cost at the airport, he also picked us up at our hotel the next day for a wonderful city tour. The following day, he took us on the "Danube Bend Tour." It was lovely, and we were able to experience the countryside. Bela's easy to talk to and has a great personality. He was so flexible and fun to be with. Also, he picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Vienna in less than three hours (he also stopped before we got into Vienna so my husband could get Euros at the ATM). His E-mail is [email protected].

So Bela made it to Fodors?! I am not surprised!!! You are right, he was so reasonable to use. He transported 6 of us from Prague to Budapest and then we used him daily for 6 days and could not of been happier. He also took us to Vienna one day. I orginally found his name on this site and contacted him and set everything up. Boy was my travel group impressed with me!!! I would recommed him in a minute to anyone.

Does anyone know how much he charges? Is it per day or per hour? We will be going to Budapst in March and would like to know. Have never used a guide so don't really know the ropes.

He does not charge per hour, but I do remember that his chages were so reasonable compaired to what similar charges in US are, that we were thrilled. If you email him, he will give you suggestions on things to do. He does some of the exact tours that you would get on bus tours, but at your own pace and stops whenever you want and also took us to some excellent reasonably priced restuarants! His prices were always lower than the bus tours. Hope this helps. I will be in Budapest in March also...you will love it!
