Travel from Berlin To Paris by train. good places to visit in Paris (tips)
Hello Everyone.
I will travel in Europe next couple weeks. My first stop will be at Berlin Germany then I would like to visit few countries around Germany such as Paris Belgium or Amsterdam.
I am wondered, How should I go to all these places? I prefer Train or bus better (budget cost and visit more places ).
For sure, I will go to Paris. I have done few researches, I found that there are trains, or buses available from Berlin to Paris. (8-10 hours) morning and night train.
Could someone tell me about more the train they provide in Germany to Paris ?
Any places recommend to visit in Paris ?? Good tips when travel in Paris.
Thank you

Trains are far more prevalent than buses and go to many many more places - long-distance travel is mainly by train or plane - if you want to visit some places in Germany before hitting France you could go to Munich, the Rhine/Mosel area, Frankfurt area, etc or Cologne and have direct trains to Paris from those (including overnight train from Munich to Paris).
Go to www.bahn.de/en the German Railways web online timetables for all European trains and find typical times and fares - if you book early enough you can get deep discounted tickets that would rival bus fares and be infinitely more comfy IME - especiall night trins where you can get you own berth, blanket and pillow vs sitting up all night in a cramped bus.
From Cologne you have direct Thalys trains to Paris in a few hours.
For lots of good stuff about German and French trains check out these IMO superb sites: www.budgeteuropetravel.com; www.ricksteves.com and www.set61.com - the latter having nice info on discounted train tickets (which however have severe restrictions of changing or refunding so be sure of your dates).
German to French night trains are run by CityNightLiner trains (CNL)
http://www.citynightline.net/citynig..._brand_en_LZ01
Again there are cheap tickets if booked in advance and on night trains you also save on the cost of a night in a hotel/hostel.
But walk up fares can be much much higher so the early bird gets the proverbial worm here.

How many weeks will you have in europe all together? What are your interests?
All we know is you want to see a bunch of places (some cities, some countries) and seem to be on a strict budget (but we don't know if that means couchsurfing or hostels or budget hotels.
Your first stop should be the local library or bookshop to get some guidebooks so you can decide what YOUR must sees are (may be totally different from mine) and which places you really want to go.

Tons to see in Paris...what are your interests? The view from the towers of Notre Dame is wonderful and worth the climb. Maybe a late night Seine cruise to see many of the famous sites lit up.
Ste Chapelle is so beautiful, especially on a sunny day. I love Musee Marmottan, L'Orangerie and Musee d'Orsay.
