Travel Distance Between Rome And Sorrento
I am planning a trip on my own ( no organized tour Co) I am wondering what the travel time via train would be from Rome to Sorrento via Naples.
Also would like to know if the following trip seems possible and stress free havng never been there before. And allowing time to get a flavor for the country.
Fly USA to Venice spend two night
Travel Venice to Florence spend 3 Nights
Travel Florence to Rome spend 3 nights
Travel Rome to Sorrento spend 3 nights
Travel Sorrento to Rome for Air travel home
With a schedule like this , am I going to feel I am always moving ?, will this be too hurried ? - could really use some advice .
Thnaks

Given jet lag, I'd like to see you drop Sorrento and spend more time in Venice. Venice is the perfect city for recovering from jet lag.
You could also allocate more days to Rome. 3 nights is only 2 days, which seems ridiculous given all there is to see in Rome.
But it's pretty easy to take the train between these cities. To get from Rome to Sorrento, you take the train to Naples (about 1.5 hours) and switch inside the terminal to the commuter train Circumvesuviana. (One of) its termini is Sorrento; the trip takes about an hour.

PS,
If you want to see the AC, you could fly into Naples, train to Rome and continue to Florence and Venice.
Or
You could fly www.alpieagles.com from Naples to Venice and exit from Rome.
