Travel Accessories: These look interesting

I've been in a few nasty bathrooms while traveling and could have used these. Anyone know where to buy them in person? Shipping is like $8.00 for these.

I have seen a similar product in Wal-Mart and/or Target. Just ask someone who works there and they can tell you where to locate them.

I can't tell you, but I once knew a woman who carried a roll of saran wrap for that purpose. For about $2.49 you can cover about a hundred toilet seats.

I've heard the saran wrap, but these look easier to cart around.

You can find them with the travel size shampoos, toothpaste, etc. at Walmart. I've also seen them in those stores where everything is $1.

You mean you are not planning on turning into a contortionist in order to "go" without any part of your body touching the seat??
Or are your thigh muscles so well toned that you can balance in that awkward, not to mention, ungraceful position for the time required? LOL

Walgreen's sells them. They have their own brand in a package of 10 for about $1.00. They are in the aisle with all the tissue products.

Toilette seat covers can be found in all types of stores that sell various luggage/travel items - tags, locks, money packs, etc. - seat covers are there and believe the prices are less. So check out the Wal-Marts, Targets, etc. etc.

In Target I found the cutest little rolls of charmin toilet tissue. I bought 3 pks, one for each of us. I had read somewhere that in someplace the toilet tissue is pretty rough. The rolls are not very long so we will have to ration

Well, PLMN, I hope you aren't planning to carry THOSE around in your clear plastic handbag!

Target was a no go, but Walgreen's had them. 99 cents for 20.

I always said - public restrooms (especially port-a-johns) should come with a strap/handle attached from the ceiling (or some sort of bar on the door in front of you) so you can balance yourself without worrying about your knees, etc.

then again who wants to touch ANYTHING in a public restroom. yech.

Actually PLMN, those Charmin TP rolls are longer than you think. They don't have the large inside core like your normal TP roll. I took some with me to the UK in May but must issue this warning:

Much of the TP in the UK is thin for a good reason -- old and/or sorry plumbing. I tried to use some of my nice and soft Charmin at a hotel and it just wouldn't flush! Tried forever and finally was able to get it to go down! I never made that mistake again.

I had thought about taking the little foil-wrapped alcohol wipes for the seats. We'll be gone a month and I thought they'd be smaller so I could pack more, but I haven't checked out these seat liners. Any comments?

Lady - I don't care how much alchohol you use, the rule is not to have any body part touch any part of a public toilette, anywhere - well, maybe in Germany - the only place I every found clean public facilities, but not everywhere in Germany. Remember the rule - not to touch!!
