Transportation in Paris
Transportation safely in Paris.
From the airport to the Saint-Germain-des-Pres in Paris which is the best option? use the services of a taxi or subscribe to UBER?
When we got is not that complicated but the return we have to leave the hotel very early in the morning and would like to book a reliable means of transportation.
Thanks for the advice.

My last taxi from St Germain to CDG was about 40 euro's. I've had a few problems with shared airport shuttles but only once with a taxi and St Germain is such a busy street I doubt you will have much of a problem. Depending on how early you need to leave follow kerouc and mamcalice's suggestion and book the night before.
I will admit to being a nervous nellie about being late and if the taxi is a minute behind schedule I start to worry. If the hotel books the taxi have them give you the number and locate a telephone for use in the early hours if you don't have a cell telephone. Usually, small hotel front desks don't open early but bakeries always do and they will make a call for you if the taxi runs late.

Hotel should arrange for a taxi without a problem. DH and I used a shuttle a couple of times and it was fine except it wasn't a straight shot to/from the airport if other travelers were sharing the shuttle. For us, it was worth the price to have the car to ourselves and no schlepping luggage through train station either.

I had saved this from another site. I had not heard of an English speaking operator and thought I might pass it along.
Taxi - I recommend G7 at:

English operator at 01 41 27 66 99

As Kerouac commented above, I used taxi G7 from the 4eme to CDG a few weeks ago. I called the evening before using the English language telephone number. Reserved for a 7 am pickup. Taxi was there at 6:55am. Couldn't have been easier.

We have always used http://www.shuttle-inter.com/ - They have english speaking drivers with you name on a sign to pick you up and drop you off at the apartment or hotel. We use then to go back to the airport , they have even picked us up at 4:30 AM and are always on time!!
