Transportation from Spain to Austria
Hello...traveling to Spain in late March and then onto Austria the first week of April. What is the best way to travel between countries? Rail? Plane?
Plane - I hear there are local companies like Southwest....any recommendations?
Rail - is there a train that goes from Spain to Austria?
So far...all the flights that I have searched...have long stop overs. Don't want to waste the day.

we have not decided where we are leaving from. my timeshare is in marbella...and my next timeshare destination is st johann(salzburg)...we do want to go to vienna too. we have found that getting to vienna much cheaper than salzburg.
the thought was to stay in vienna for a couple days and then spend the rest of the week in salzburg.

From Marbella your next airport will be Malaga.
If you don't find any low-cost airlines to Salzburg or Vienna, you could also check Ryanair for Malaga-Bratislava (plus a bus transfer to Vienna city center).

ryanair has flights from about $20 plus fees and suitcases, etc. from malaga like mentioned. check it out. if you DO fly them though, remember you need to get your boarding card STAMPED for approval at their ticket office if you do not hold EU passport.
