Transportation from Seville to Granada
Hello,
We would be very much appreciated if any of the member could tell us the mode of transportation from Seville to Granada.
We will be arriving to Seville from Paris at about 13:00 on 5/22/07. We would like to take the bus or train to Granada in the afternoon so we could visit Granada the next day (5/23/07). We plan to spend the whole day in Granada then take a late bus or train back to Seville to spend the night there. We will fly back early to Paris on 5/26/07.
Your ideas and suggestion are greatly appreciated.

hi, moretravel,
you can look on the renfe website for times of trains from Seville to granada and back.
as the OP says, you need to make reservations for the alhambra. you could also see it at night -this is a truly lovely experience and worth doing as well as the day-time trip. as you are going to be there overnight, no reason why you shouldn't fit in both.
regards, ann

Train Seville-Granada takes about 3 hours. Very efficient and comfortable. And on time! There's one leaves around 7am, another about 11.30 and I'm sure several later trains. Fare is around 15 euros. Granada-Seville is the same, there is a departure about 11.30 which gets in at 2pm, bound to be later ones. Have a look at the RENFE site.

I took Granada-Sevilla train. They use a sleek, comfortable mid-distance train on this route. Be sure to have seat reservation done beforehand. People who got to the station had to wait 5-10min per person to get their tickets.
