What is the most economical way to get from the Seville Airport to our hotel near the
Cathederal?

We took a taxi from the airport. Seville is a hard place to maneuver. Even with a street map we got lost every time. Getting a hotel near the cathedral is smart, though right next to it is even smarter.

i believe the taxi ride is a fixed price to avoid any complaints. it was about 17 euros last year.

There may be more economical ways but I would recommend a taxi. No doubt there are buses but then you would need to get a taxi or walk once you got to the edge of the area near the Cathedral. Taxis may be harder to get at that point and I wouldn't recommend walking unless you knew exactly where you were going - it is easy to get lost. 17 euros from the airport sounds about right. You will find that few taxi drivers speak English. Most should know where the hotels are but be prepared with the map and phone number of the hotel.
