transportation from Civitavecchia to Rome

What should one expect to pay with a cab/ or private car for transportation from Civitavecchia to Rome and from Rome to Fiumicino Airport by the same means? Leaving early next week.

You can expect to pay about €130 from Civitavecchia to Rome.
(Train fare for same = €4 approx)

Rome-Fiumicino will be approx €35-50 depending on number of passengers.
(Train fare =€9 approx)

Try these for quotes for both journeys:

Hope this helps ...

If you take the train, you connect at Rome's Ostiense Station to end up at Fiumicino Airport (you don't need to go all the way to Termini Station). From Ostiense, the local commuter train leaves for the airport every 15 minutes (30 mins. on Sundays) and takes 27 minutes. Fare is Euro 4.70. You could also connect at Rome's Trastevere Station, although Ostiense is a better conection point (better equipped and more modernized).

Limoservicerome sounds very reasonable from Rome to Civitavecchia. Has anyone used them?

I just used limoservicerome.com from Rome to Civitavecchia. Couldn't have been happier. Driver even arrived early and was at our hotel waiting to take us there. Paid 118 euros for the trip. I can recommend without hesitation.

Message: Looking forward to our cruise in May. Arriving at FCO and leaving out of Civitavechhia. All the info has been great. We're going to try the suggested train transport to get to port.(Hope we make it!) According to GAC that would mean two trains connecting at Ostiense Station. Is there a website to show the train stops? Any helpful ideas are appreciated. Is it wise to change money at the airport - since we'll need the fares for the trains.
Thanks.

Hi MIGA-

You can change $ at the ATMs at FCO airport.

At FCO's train station, take the Metropolitan FM1 train. According to the website, Roma Ostiense is the 6th stop. Here's the website with schedules:
http://www.adr.it/content.asp?Subc=1...&idMen=731

The train schedule between Roma Ostiense & Civitavecchia is on the Trenitalia website:

Trastevere is the 5th stop. Ostiense is the 6th. You can change at either.

Make sure you catch the FARA SABINA/ORTE train from Fiumicino (NOT the one to Roma Termini). Trains leave FCO every 15 mins.

Hope this helps ...
