Transport from Heathrow
We will be arriving at 11:00 am on a weekday morning after a long flight from the west coast of the US. We would rather take a car hire, but if the traffic will be bad at about noon then we can take a train etc. Suggestions on one or the other and which company for hire too.

I would like to suggest getting the London Tube....You see,no matter how busy the traffic is on the roads, you can usually guarantee that the London Underground will get you to your destination on time...It will take you into Central London, and you can catch it at the terminals in Heathrow...

I've had good luck with
www.justairports.com & they're cheaper if you pay cash.

The chances of traffic problems leaving LHR at midday and going into town are trivial. A Just Airports car for two will cost roughly twice to anywhere central what the tube will, but it's a lot less hassle to most destinations.

Zinfanatic, it sounds like we're both flying Air New Zealand from LAX to Heathrow.
I think we're just going to do Heathrow Connect to Paddington, since we're staying in Bayswater.
We're going in May; when will you be there?
