Transavia airlines - questions

With help from prevoius Fodorites my son is now changing some of his itinerary and instead of all Eurorail he is now looking at combining some flights.

When looking at flights we find the best deals are with Transavia, however we have never heard of them and was wondering if anyone has flown Transavia within Europe.

The flights will be in January, so we need to book them soon.

Any help appreciated

Transavia is a budget offshoot of KLM. They should be as safe and good as any other airline. I have flown them with no problems, other than a slight delay.

Ah thank you WillTravel for your information.

Their flights are certainly a lot cheaper for deals at this short notice. We will go ahead and book them.

Not sure wether to book direct ourselves of go through an Australian supplier. Having only booked with Australian airlines before not sure if the procedure is the same.

If you book over the net do you just print out a ticket from the internet once you have paid by credit card.

Do they have to confrim flights 24hrs before?

If you book over the Internet, you just get a standard e-ticket with a reference code.

You don't have to confirm 24 hours in advance.

Thank you WillTravel

We will save a booking fee if we do it ourselves. I will now proceed.

Thank you once again
