Trajan Column, Rome

We have been anxious to view the Trajan Column in Rome upclose and personal. Are there any newly returned who can tell us if the restoration scaffolding has been removed?

Auguri

There was still scaffolding around it in November, when we were there. Hopefully someone can give you some more up to date info.

I saw it in January. There is a fence around the bottom, so you cannot get up close to it. There is no scaffolding around the column itself, so you can admire the wonderful reliefs.

To get a good view of the defeat of the Dacians bring some binoculars.
