Train Ticket Question
I've done all my research, gone to the websites, found the schedules....but
I'm planning on taking three short trips by train before and during a cruise:
Hayes and Harlington station to Windsor
Blankenburg to Brugge
Rotterdam to Amsterdam
I can buy tickets for any of them online but I have to specify times. Can I buy a day return either in advance or on the day of the trip without specifying a time? I really have no idea of what time I may want to go in either direction.
Thanks for the help!

These are short journeys where you cannot reserve seats. Tickets are not restricted to specific trains. There is no reason whatsoever for buying tickets in advance: just get them at the station before boarding the train.

tickets like these should be good on any train on that day...but always ask when buying (note in Holland if you use the automatic ticket machines i believe you pay 1 euro less - so could ask info counter than use machine - lines at ticket windows now can be very long as the railways try to force ticket selling to machines it seems.
Day return tickets may have restrictions - like in U.K. oft can't leave before 9:30am Mon-Fri - can return anytime i believe.
