Train: Geneva to Paris to CDG for 1:15 flight. Possible??

I have looked on the posts. Can find nothing Geneva or Lusanne (where I would be) to Paris on TVG (?) just the reverse and simply cannot figure out the train schedules. Can someone help? Need to be at CGD for 1:15 flight on 8/7. Is it doable? Need to reserve in advance? Any info greatly appreciated before I confirm flight. (Not back on here till tomorrow).

www.bahn.de

6:20-7:04 InterRegio to Geneva
7:08-8:59 RegionalExpress to Lyon
9:22-11:21 TGV to CDG

Another similar itinerary 4:44-10:04.

A few years ago I left Lyon early one morning on the TGV for an even earlier flight than yours at CDG; no problems. However, that was before the increased time needed for security since 9/11 and also before the airline rule that once your plane leaves the ground, your ticket is worthless.

Personally, today I would not chance it. I'm sure there are many who would, and chances are it would work.

Reservations are necessary on TGVs.

Can staying the night before in e.g.Lyon be an option for you? That way you would not worry about short connecting time in Geneva.

The earliest DIRECT TGV service from Lausanne to Paris-Lyon leaves around 7:22 AM and arives in Paris at 11:20. You may very well do better by taking Rkkwan's advice and use the direct service from Lyon (the city) to Paris CDG airport.

Use a site such as www.sbb.ch or www.bahn.de or www.sncf.com to double check schedules for your particular time period.

I'd make reservations for the TGV segment but those can usually only be made 60 days in advance.

I don't suppose one could call this a contribution, more like a consolation. I read so many good things about Lyon, that you might find that an evening there before the direct TGV will be a bonus!

Actually I meant 3/7 (March)! Thanks to everyone for the info. I think I will check out Lyon.
