train from Italy to St. Anton, Austria
Can someone advise me as to the most expedient route to get to St. Anton? I will be leaving LaSpezia Italy and wondered about going through Zurich to St. Anton or Bologna Italy to Innsbruck to St. Anton, we only have one day to go to St. Anton, Austria before heading back to Zurich. Anyone, know train travel??? thanks, Mary

Hi Mary - Trenitalia suggests the Innsbruck option - either via Milan/Verona or Bologna.
Either way it's a 12hr journey.
For details see:
http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
It's also possible overnight if you prefer.
Hope this helps ...

Thanks for the reply. I will plan to go to Innsbruck via Bologna. Anyone recommend a place to stay in St. Anton, the problem is that it is only one night and than to Zurich. Thanks, Mary
