train cinque terre to nice?

Hi everyone,
My first post!
Anyone been by train from Cinque Terre to Nice? I'm wondering what degree of difficulty there is, and how long it takes.
Also tips on train travel from Milan versus Pisa TO Cinque terre would be appreciated, again in terms of how hard it is and time taken. I am flying in from Paris to either Milan or Pisa....
Thanks
Kerryn

From Cinque Terre, you'd take a train to Genoa,( depends what town you start from and I don't know how long this bit is) and switch to a second train for Nice. The train from Genoa to Nice takes about 2.5 hours.

For detailed timetables, go to www.bahn.de. Click on "Internat. Guests" to view the site in English. You'll need to enter a specific Cinque Terre town (for example, Vernazza) as a departure or arrival point.

...as I enjoy trains, I'd imagine this would be a terrific ride with great views! I think trains are relaxing.

kerryn, you should be able to do this with one change only -- at Genoa.
