>>You are lifted into place by a cherry picker.<<

So it doesn't require anything as sneaky as a plinther movement.

The Scot's trying his best and his accent is quite pleasant. I can only watch 1 min. 30 seconds of these videos before getting bored. Or feel immense sympathy for these people on display.

Rule No. 1: If your name isn't Ewan McGregor, don't wear a kilt.

Rule No. 2: Even if your name IS Ewan McGregor, don't wear a kilt with converse hightops and black socks.

If I were on this plinth, I'd have my laptop and a stool to sit on, and write a trip report on London to post on Fodor's.

Well, the kilt man did seem like a very nice guy. He even offered the next woman a swig from his flask.

>>>Anonymous from 04-0500 is just standing there looking manly and attractive<<<

I had people over last night so I managed to sneak a peak at
about midnight- I saw this guy, and thought the exact same thing! I'm sorry I missed the tinfoil man though.

Apparently the current woman has her husband's ashes up there with her? She's quite pretty.

Is she going to scatter her husband's ashes? Seems she's doing OK. Her husband died in an avalanche on Mount Blanc (according to her bio).

I think any fodors posters who are in London should go to Trafalgar Square, get within view of the cameras, and take off their tops or moon the camera when the plinth people get boring.

And she just told one of them to leave her alone and called him a knob.

did anyone catch the naked lady?? I did but the cute young guy who just proposed marriage to his boyfriend was chatting on the phone and mentioned the naked artist two plinthers before. I went back -- and yep -- Crazyartlady stripped down to her skivvies, painted her self up in red and then black and made prints of her body parts on a couple of big sheets.

American guy up there now. He's surrounded by very very very drunk people. This could be a bloodbath.

That should be "<i>I didn't, but the cute . . . </i>"

Not entirely sure he is a Yank. Probably is, and I did think so at first. But every so often he sounds something else. There was I guy early on - maybe 5 - 6 days ago that definitely sounded American, but he was born in Jamaica . . . .

I think I heard him say something about baking brownies, so my guess is he's probably a transplanted American. Where ever he's from, he did a fantastic job handling all the drunks.

Ok, what are those things that lady has up there with her? Are those what I think they are, or is my mind in the gutter?

She reading poetry and the drunks hate her. They keep yelling "You suck"

Yup, I caught the naked artist lady. I actually saw her in the beginning of her hour, than I checked back in and she was suddenly covered in black paint...a bit too artistic for my tastes at 10am on a Saturday Morning.

Anyone watching now? For the 6am-7am segment, there's a Irish guy sitting in a paddling pool, covered in part fake blood/part real blood from family and friends reading poetry. That's something I could have lived my whole life without seeing. Too bad he wasn't around with all the drunks - looks like he scared everyone away.

Did anyone see the artist who decided that ironing described a woman's place in life? She actually brought on her ironing board, iron, and a basket of clothes - hilarious. I have to go back and see how the crowd reacted to that one.

She dropped her spoon while eating, and I couldn't see if she then picked it up, and starting eating with it again! Did she not see the performer before her?!

They have a power socket up there? This chap must have been wasting his time, then (the setting up takes about 10 minutes before you can see what he's up to):
