Tour or DIY?
I received a travel brochure from my alma mater:
Oct 9 - 17 "Village Life in the Dordogne" $2495 pp.
Looked up the airfare, the hotel and car rental for those dates.
DIY, including car rental, under $1900.
Interesting side note. Book flights on AirFrance - $815.
Book same flights through Delta, code share AF, $1134.
A confirmed DIYer

I guess about $600 pp.

No
'optional' side trips?<
Various bus rides included.

Tour included 1/2 board at the hotel, so I priced it that way.
I also included 50E for fuel.
