If you go to Weather Underground it gives you actual weather for a specific period for a number of years. Here is period from 15-30 August.

You'll see that it doesn't usually get that hot - but it did last year for 2 days. We have our village Fete des Crepes the weekend after 15th August holiday, and last year it was around 40 on that weekend. Cooking 5000 crepes and 300 meals wasn't too enjoyable. And now it appears that it will be almost as hot again. Oh well, we'll drink lots of water (and a bit of wine)

We won't be in Toulouse and The Dordogne until Mid Sept. but that high temp. weather forecast caught my eye.
Last year we were in Paris in late Sept. early Oct. and it was the hottest of any of our trips there in the last 10 years.
40---now that's really getting up there. Yes, lots of water and for wine it would have to be a nice cold Rose.
Actually, high 70's and 80's would be terrific. Thanks for the weather underground site. We'll keep watching.

I wont eat many at all - just the 'mistakes' - the ones that stick. And cider goes better than wine. There are actually 14 crepieres who work for many hours. Then on Sunday I work on the meal, setting tables and cooking several hundred pieces of confit, serving, dancing - and drinking some rose. Worst part is Monday, when we clean up.
