Toulouse airport - time to allow prior to flight, and cab recommendations?

Bon soir. We are leaving tomorrow (I will post a TR later) but I wondered how long we need to allow at the airport to check in, etc. - presuming that it is not as long as CDG check-in.
Our flight leaves at 3:55, and I would love to see one last museum before departing.

If anyone also has a recommendation for a cab company (and a cost estimate) that would be great. I'll ask our host here but I think they're out to dinner. I assume we need to allow about 45 minutes to get out to the airport.

Merci for your help! Sad to be leaving France, we had a wonderful time.

Asked our hosts, and questions were answered. Two hours ahead, and half hour drive to the airport, if anyone needs in the future.

Cabs are metered. I just took one at the curb, like in most cities. I don't think you pick and choose your company there. I don't know there names, but if you have a local host, shouldn't they know that? As I recall, it cost around 20 euro from the airport to city center near the train station.

We got a cab from Capitole Taxi, took only about 20 minutes on a Saturday morning and the cost was around 25€. Toulouse airport is pretty small, so it only took a half hour to check in luggage and get through security.

One more comment, from someone who has used Toulouse airport several times a year for the last 15 years or so. Yes, it is of course much smaller than Roissy-CDG, and you less time for processing/security, etc.

AND, remember that if you are connecting with Paris/Frankfurt/Munich, etc., that you are on an internal flight, not an international one, and again, don't need to allow as much time as you might expect. We have, more than once (usually) got to the airport with lots of time to spare, only to find that we had to wait until about an hour before flight time to check in. The desks weren't open until then.

Even though it has recently expanded to about twice its original size, this is still a small, reasonably comfortable airport. We choose to fly out of Toulouse, about a 2 hour drive from where we live, even though we then have to connect somewhere else for a flight to Canada or South Africa, our usual destinations. We could take the train to Paris and get a direct flight, but that has its own complications, with luggage to move around, taxis, connections, etc. (And yes, I know that we could spend several days in Paris, but we're usually dressed for summer in Cape Town in November, not rainy autumn in Paris.)

So, we see Toulouse as a reasonable option for anyone coming to this area. And the city is really beautiful.

We have enjoyed Toulouse for almost 2 weeks now as part of a house exchange. We have a few more days and a few more museums. Interesting and easy city to walk around; food is terrific evening finding good Italian and Indian food when one tires of duck and cassoulet.
