Both are special in their own ways but for myself and daughter Segovia was #1..Drove from Salamanca and stayed at Hotel Infanta Isabella..a treat, ate the littler porker sans face and wandered about..A lovely rather untouristy town. don't find many any more!!

Wow great advice. Thanks everyone for the input. I think we are leading towards Toledo and not doing the guided tour.

Today's NY Times has an article largely about Segovia - showcases it stellar attraction besides the Alcaczar - the old Roman aqueduct with awesomely runs right into town - see photo!
