Hi LP,

They abut each other.

From whence are you arriving?

as you can see they are very close to each other - just across from each other so not a whole lot of time I'd say.

Ira- It ain't "FROM WHENCE." It's just "WHENCE." Whence "means where from." You should have written, "Whence are you arriving?"

fair enough, anyone who uses whence should know what it means.

eg Whence come you?

I think there may be some security screening when doing that, I remember some at one of those when transferring to a local flight out of 2E or F. So that doesn't take forever, but needs a little time. But at last E to F is a short walk.

The time needed depends upon the point of origin, the point of destination, the airline, the size of the airplane, the nationality of the passenger, the amount of baggage, and probably the passenger's age and health. The actual location of the terminals comes in last for estimating the amount of time needed.

Transfers from 2E to 2F require going through immigration and security check as 2E is only for international/non-Schengen flights and 2F is only for Schengen flights.

2E consists of 3 parts connected by train http://ompldr.org/vZDFrZg/Hub2012-AF-en.pdf If you arrive at the M gates, you can take the train to the L gates and walk through the passageway that connects the L gates to 2F. If you arrive at the K gates, the passageway going to 2F is scheduled to open in March (it's already open coming from 2F). In the mean time, you can walk landside from K gates to 2F.

I would say allow yourself 2 hours though I've made the transit in less time.

"It ain't "FROM WHENCE." It's just "WHENCE.""

Illiterate, irreligious, pseudo-pedantic claptrap.

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help."(Psalm 121, Authorised Version)

"He began to think that the source and secret of this ghostly light might be in the adjoining room, from whence, on further tracing it, it seemed to shine” (Dickens: Christmas Carol)

"He got a good estate by merchandise, and leaving off his trade, lived afterwards at York; from whence he had married my mother” (Defoe. Robinson Crusoe)

"Thee have I not locked up in any chest,
Save where thou art not, though I feel thou art,
Within the gentle closure of my breast,
From whence at pleasure thou mayst come and part"
(Shakespeare, Sonnet 67)

This forum is conducted in English. Unlike lesser languages, English doesn't have rules. If it's OK with Shakespeare and the committees writing the Authorised Version, it's correct.

Whatever some third rate teacher told you.
